Luteal Phase Defect
Simply put, luteal phase defect is a condition that affects women's menstrual cycle. It's an abnormality in the endometrial development, often associated with infertility and early miscarriage. The luteal phase usually begins during the second half of the menstrual cycle, lasting for about 12-14 days. The defect is diagnosed through out-of-phase biopsies.
