Premature Ovarian Failure
It's a condition in which ovaries lose the ability to function normally before the age of 40. Common symptoms are similar to that of menopause, including no period, hot flashes and vaginal dryness. Blood tests are done to diagnose Premature Ovarian Failure (POF); it helps identify WHETHER ovary is producing estrogen and the pituitary gland is producing FSH and LH OR not. At present, there exists no proven method to treat POF.
